Perfect for students, playwrights, sketch writers, storytellers, improvisers, and curious newbies, this masterclass digs into the nitty-gritty of crafting comedy. No previous writing experience required!

Students will explore “what’s funny” (and how to make it funnier!), in the process of developing their own, unique comedic voices. Along the way, Sandy leads the class in a series of exercises designed to help students develop comedic characters & dialogue, understand physical space & physicality, define rhythm, style & tone, and allow a plot to reveal itself.

Each student will leave class having developed the beginnings of their own, new comedy for the stage (or beyond)!
